- Reduce the amount of unnecessary packaging and use materials that is recyclable.
- Attempt to buy refills and items in bulk as opposed to something new.
- Reuse bags, boxes, and containers.
- Borrow, rent, or share tools, sporting equipment, camping supplies, etc.
- Sell, trade, or donate serviceable goods instead of disposing of them.
